Why does the choice of acrylic matter?
In the bathroom, especially if it is smaller, it is often not possible to place both a bathtub and a shower. The combination of a bathtub and a bathtub screen, or possibly bathtub doors, is often the ideal solution, because you can enjoy both comfortable bathing and showering in one space. The wide range of RAVAK products caters to any, even atypical small bathroom in a panel building or in the attic, regardless of the layout.
We only use branded cast acrylic for the production of bathtubs. These acrylic sheets are prepared by casting into molds and thus retain their physical properties in all directions. They guarantee that the product will maintain the desired shape in the long term, will not bend or crack.
You can also find cheaper products on the market, which are made from extruded acrylic. Although it is chemically the same material (polymethyl methacrylate), the different method of production causes fundamental differences in its useful properties. Extruded acrylic is produced by drawing, so its properties are preserved only in one direction.
Sometimes, due to the low price, a very thin layer of extruded acrylic is used to produce bathtubs, which then has to be reinforced with an ABS plastic sheet. Bathtubs made from this material are the cheapest, but they have significantly worse quality and may crack over time after being installed in the bathroom.
Manufacturing process 100% under control
In the production of bathtubs, we use advanced technology of vertical point heating on thermo-vacuum presses, thanks to which we manage to perfectly pull the acrylic sheet into the mold. This point heating is individually set for each type of bathtub according to its shape and size.
The spraying of fibreglass and polyurethane, precise cuts of bathtubs and drilling of holes is done using modern robotic machines.
On the other hand, we finish the incorporation of the sprayed fibreglass onto the shell by hand, because only in this way can we ensure the detailing of the shape of the bathtub and the leveling of the heterogeneity of the fibreglass.
Meticulous care for every detail is necessary for a perfect result.
Carefully checking each production step is absolutely crucial for us. After gradual checks of individual production phases, there is always a thorough final output control. Thanks to this, all products from our wide portfolio meet the strictest standards and criteria. The final phase of preparation for sale is then special packaging and storage, which prevents even the slightest damage to products during dispatch.
