Solutions for Niches - Shower Doors

If you are looking for the best door for your shower enclosure, then you have come to the right place. You will find here the complete outline of all possible solutions that RAVAK can offer you. One of the most favourite ways to create a room for showering is to utilize a niche (a U-shaped space between three fully tiled walls).
Not each model of shower door is perfectly suited for the very niche in your bathroom, though. The niche can be wide or narrow, fitted with a shower tray or just tiled, with or without a threshold, with plenty of space in front of the showering room or with minimum space around it. Last but not least, the cost will be an important issue as well. So take your time and choose carefully and we will do our best to advise you.

SUPERNOVA shower doors
The products in the Supernova range are manufactured as fully framed with a threshold piece at the bottom. This is an advantage especially in situations when you need to set the shower door straight on the floor, in the case of “wet floor” designs. Another advantage of the framed products is the simple, quick and technically straightforward installation of these models, and the fact that the products come to you already assembled. You can choose the design in either glass with Anticalc (Transparent, Grape, Smoke or Strip) or plastic panel fillings (Pearl or Rain pattern). To obtain a door opening to the opposite way you need only to turn it around its “y” axis. Each product comes with a 40 mm tolerance that even enables you to install it into a niche that does not have perfectly straight walls. In case the standard dimensions of a niche were not adhered to, Ravak offers you their extension profiles (see page 26 for the shower enclosure accessories) to solve this problem without buying an atypical “custom made” product.

SDP3
  • The most popular and therefore the most proven variant of all.
  • Since the door opens by sliding, no additional room for opening is required.
  • This type of product is suitable not only for households, but also for public places where both frequent use and careless and unkind treatment can be expected.
  • In some cases, the relatively small width of the entrance of the smallest variant can become a disadvantage (entrance width of the SDP3 80 is just 395 mm).
SDZ2, SDZ3
  • These fully framed products that open by folding, offer you the maximum entrance width possible (entrance of the SDZ3 80 has a superior 510 mm).
  • Some inconvenience can be caused by the way these doors fold inside the showering space.
SDOP
  • As for dimensions, this is the most variable model (70-130 cm).
  • Its frame is the least divided from all the types.
  • The most economical variant.
  • Maximum entrance width of all SDOP 70-130 models is constant: 485 mm.

ELEGANCE shower doors
The ELEGANCE range introduces products of semi-frameless concept. The products can be easily adjusted due to the 40 mm overall (20 mm each side) adjustment on their dimensions. The wide variety of colour versions, handles and profile endings creates many possibilities to modify the appearance of Elegance. The rise and fall mechanism of Elegance shower doors enables them to close automatically, silently and perfectly.

ESD1
  • Maximum entrance width.
  • Undivided glass panel.
ESD2
  • This double-door with a low threshold strip can also suit showering spaces for handicapped people. It is possible to create a showering space with standard entrance width of up to 120 cm, almost barrier-free.
ESDK
  • This model offers you the widest dimensional variability (100-130 cm) due to the combination of a fixed part with the door.

GLASSLINE shower doors
The standard height of this product range is 190 cm, which is 5 cm higher than products from other ranges. The design of Glassline is comprises a combination of chrome and glass. The rise and fall mechanism of Glassline shower doors enables them to close automatically, silently and perfectly. Glassline shower doors come with two variants of each basic dimensional norm and therefore are able to compensate for some minor building inaccuracies.

GSD2
  • The GSD2 model consists of one fixed part (made out of safety glass 8 mm thick) and one movable part (made out of safety glass 6 mm thick).
  • GSD2 in its standard forms can cover a niche of up to 90 cm width, thus providing the maximum entrance width possible.
GSD3
  • The GSD3 model consists of two fixed parts (made out of safety glass 8 mm thick) and one movable part (made out of safety glass 6 mm thick).
  • GSD3 in its standard forms can cover a niche width from 100 to 120 cm.
