AntiCalc
RAVAK AntiCalc®
invisible shield against grime and water deposits
![]() |
All water (except for rain- or distilled water) always contains a certain amount of dissolved mineral salts too. When these salts deposit on glass, it can be very difficult to remove them, even with the help of very aggressive detergents. Deposits of iron, manganese, or silicon mineral salts create a chemical bond with the glass surface, and give the glass an ugly tint. Common cleaning products are quite helpless against this problem. |

Surface of any common plate glass, however smooth and flawless it may seem, is actually porous and rippled, which gives the grime and scale many
chances to adhere. Dust and dirt surely are unpleasant, but the worst enemy of glass is water itself, for its corrosive effects are as strong on glass as
they are on some metals. Only – RAVAK AntiCalc® glass treatment offers a long-time dependable protection. |
RAVAK AntiCalc® is a mononuclear, chemically bound water-repelling layer that fulfils two essential functions.
- Droplets of water cannot remain on the water-repelling glass surface, so they all slip down. With no residual water on the glass there can be no scale deposits left.
- The very smallest droplets may remain and leave a small amount of sediment, but that is not chemically bonded to the glass and therefore it can easily be wiped off with a damp cloth.
The RAVAK AntiCalc® water-repelling layer is totally unaffected by all common cleaning detergents intended for windows and glass fillings. However, its durability depends on the actual portion of mineral salts contained in the water (for example, hard water areas) and is therefore individual. Generally, the durability of RAVAK AntiCalc® layer without any maintenance varies from 3 months to 2 years.Due to the really small amount of water droplets staying on the RAVAK AntiCalc® coated glass, it is sufficient to maintain such shower enclosures once or twice a month.
Maintenance a couple times a year pays dividends:
- You will save money for detergents.
- You will save time otherwise needed to clean your shower enclosure.
- All you will have to do is wipe the occasional sediments off with a damp cloth. No more everyday struggle to get rid of the scale, no more aggressive chemicals to clean all the glass panels.
That really is worth it.
We recommend you to treat the glass panels of your shower enclosure a couple times a year with AntiCalc Conditioner.
We guarantee you 10 years of full perfect functioning of RAVAK AntiCalc® system if maintained regularly with the AntiCalc Conditioner.
AntiCalc is a unique solution to protect glass surfaces against water scale sediments. All the glass fillings of Ravak shower enclosures are coated with this protective layer; - that is our standard and we do not charge extra for it.
The name RAVAK AntiCalc® is a trademark recognized in most countries
in the world.
